Polytechnic University of Tirana (PUoT) join RMEI (Mediterranean Network of Schools of Engineer).

On 7 and 8 September 2012, was held in Padua and Venice (Italy), the General Assembly of RMEI - Réseau Méditerranéen des Écoles d'Ingenieurs (Mediterranean Network of Schools of Engineer). This assembly was organized by Università degli Studii di Padova and UniversitàIUAV di Venezia. The assembly discussed the problems that confront engineers Schools in the Mediterranean region and on wider interest projects that have been undertaken by this network.

In this meeting participated the PUoT delegation of the Rector of PUoT, Academician Jorgaq Kaçani and Vice-Rector for International Relations and Science, Prof. Frederik Premti.

Rector Kaçani, presented a paper on PUoT and, as current President of BSUN, made a presentation on this network.

 In this Assembly were accepted as new members several universities in the region. Taking into account the orientation of "engineering" of this network, PUoT submitted a membership application. This request was approved unanimously by the Assembly and it was announced by the President of RMEI, Prof. Leo VINCENT. So, from 8 September 2012, PUoT is a RMEI member with full rights.
