Distance Education Center was established by the Decision of the Ministry of Education in 1997 and functions depending on the Rectorate and on the Faculties of Information Engineering and Electrical Engineering regarding teaching process.

The Center performs teaching activity based on 3 +2 model under the Bologna Declaration and provides University Education in the branches:

1. Telecommunications Engineering

2. Informatic Engineering and Automatics

3. Electrical Engineering

Diplomas issued, are considered as Tele-teaching Degree in Distance Education System.

• Tele-teaching Diploma in Informatic Engineering and Automatics
• Tele-teaching Diploma in Telecommunications Engineering

In the academic year 2004-2005, was also opened an Electrical Engineering Branch.

The Branch of Telecommunication Engineering started in 1997 up to the academic year 2006.
